JoeyRoo was born out of the frustration of having to source items like cloth nappies and other supplies from overseas.  It didn’t seem fair that we had to pay more and wait longer for goods that were widely available in other countries such as the UK and US.

Working on the assumption and hope that we might not be the only parents in Ireland who would like to deal with an Irish Supplier, we set about building the kind of store that we wished was already there.

From the outset we were determined to only stock items that we, and friends, believed in and used.  Nappies in particular were at the forefront:  we worked our way through numerous cloth nappies until we found a few types that we liked and those are the only ones we sell.

If there’s a product that we believe in that we can’t supply for whatever reason, we’ll still tell you about it, and where you can buy it.  We won’t try to sell you a lesser product just because we can.  Keep an eye on our blog, Twitter and Facebook feeds.

You may ask, “Why JoeyRoo?”

Although I was born in Ireland, my family packed up and headed to Australia in the early-1980’s.

I spent my entire childhood there, and when we returned to Ireland in 1996 I brought along an Aussie accent that I still haven’t quite shaken off.

I’m Irish through-and-through, but the accent says otherwise… so when setting up the business we thought it was fitting for an Irish company to have an Aussie slant to it.
